We engage at the earliest stage of production planning, reviewing scripts, storyboards, and location plans to identify fire safety requirements. Our team prepares comprehensive fire risk assessments for each filming location and studio set, develops emergency action plans, and ensures all necessary permits and licenses are in place before shooting begins.

During filming, our fire safety officers maintain a constant presence on set, supervising all fire-related activities including pyrotechnic effects, controlled burns, smoke machines, and naked flame use. We brief cast and crew on fire safety procedures at the start of each shooting day and maintain fire extinguishing equipment appropriate to the specific hazards present.

We prepare comprehensive health and safety documentation for every production including fire risk assessments, method statements, RAMS (Risk Assessment and Method Statements), COSHH assessments for smoke and pyrotechnic materials, and emergency evacuation plans. All documentation is prepared to production company and broadcaster standards and is available for review by insurers and regulatory authorities.

At the conclusion of filming, we carry out final inspections of all locations and sets to ensure all fire safety measures are stood down safely. We provide production companies with comprehensive close-out reports documenting all fire safety activities undertaken during the production, which serve as valuable records for insurance and compliance purposes.
